The City of Montebello Parks Master Plan is in the process of being formally adopted by City Council.
On June 24, 2021, the Park Master Plan was presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission for review. The Park Master Plan is the result of a comprehensive planning process and community outreach, where city staff and consultants received feedback from Montebello residents about the future of Montebello’s parks and facilities. Through this process the Park Master Plan aims to:
- Serve as a planning and asset management tool for the City’s parks and open spaces.
- Improve the quality of life for current and future residents by compiling strategies to sustain and enhance the current park system.
- Aid in providing an understanding of the recreational and open space assets the City owns and operates, as well as the financial investment required to maintain, repair, and/or improve these assets.
